Florida Trend Names Hopping an “Icon”
The October issue of Florida Trend magazine includes an article which names Wade Hopping as a Florida “Icon”, based on his long service in the state’s legal community and his public service as an adviser to former Governor Claude Kirk and his service as a Justice of the Florida Supreme Court.
The article includes an abridged version of an extensive interview that Mr. Hopping gave to the University of Florida’s Samuel Proctor Oral History Program in 2003, about his experiences in state government and as a lawyer in private practice. The university was preparing to interview him again when he died in August.
