Experience
- Over 18 years of experience in environmental law, specializing in solid and hazardous waste regulatory matters, real property contamination/groundwater regulation, and storage tank regulatory issues.
- In-depth understanding and working knowledge of federal and Florida environmental statutes, rules, and regulations as well as implementing guidance focused on solid and hazardous waste regulatory matters, real property contamination, site remediation, and storage tank matters.
- Represents a large number of clients before the Florida Department of Environmental Protection, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, and the Florida Legislature on solid and hazardous waste matters and related issues.
- Familiar with Florida Department of Environmental Protection, Division of Waste Management staff, as well as staff from various Florida Department of Environmental Protection District Offices and local programs throughout Florida.
- Since 1995, has been actively involved in significant legislative changes to Florida's solid and hazardous waste, contamination cleanup, and related statutes.
- Involved in negotiating and successfully resolving a number enforcement cases involving alleged violations of federal and Florida Department of Environmental Protection solid and hazardous waste statutes and regulations.
- Actively participated in most of the significant solid and hazardous waste, contamination cleanup, and storage tank rulemakings in Florida since 1994.
- Significant experience with electric utility and chemical manufacturing industries' solid and hazardous waste issues.
- Speaker at numerous environmental conferences throughout Florida on a wide variety of solid and hazardous waste related topics, enforcement and compliance issues, and legislative and regulatory developments in the environmental arena.
- Frequent contributor of articles to business and trade periodicals regarding environmental issues.
