Wade Hopping: Champion of Freedom
One of the firm's founding members, the late Wade Hopping, was recently honored with an article in The Journal of The James Madison Institute (Winter 2010 edition) which hails Wade Hopping as a champion of freedom. According to the editor of the James Madison Institute Journal:
Florida lost a leading champion of property rights in August 2009 when Tallahassee attorney Wade Hopping died at the age of 78. Mr. Hopping served on the Florida Supreme Court (1968-69) before establishing a law practice in Tallahassee, where he was a tireless defender of private property rights against governmental encroachments.
The article was written by Mr. Hopping's long-time friend Toby Brigham, who stated that "The life and work of Wade Hopping made him an exemplary champion of freedom. . . . his life was devoted in our generation to protect and perfect individual rights . . ."
The article is available beginning on page 23 in The Journal Winter 2010.
