HGS Lawyer appointed Co-Chair of the Air Quality Committee of the American Bar Association's Section of Environment, Energy and Resources (SEER)
Hopping Green & Sams, P.A., is pleased to announce the appointment of shareholder Angela Morrison Uhland as Co-Chair of the Air Quality Committee of the American Bar Association's Section of Environment, Energy and Resources (SEER). Mrs. Uhland will assume this role at the upcoming August 2007 Annual Meeting of the American Bar Association in San Francisco. Mrs. Uhland's appointment caps off several years of service to the ABA, including serving in leadership roles throughout the Section of Environment, Energy and Resources, such as the Membership Vice-Chair of the Air Quality Committee and of the Energy Facilities and Siting Committee, and a contributing author for the Air Quality Committee newsletter.
This appointment is a high honor, as the Air Quality Committee is one of the most active committees within SEER. The Air Quality Committee provides a valuable forum and practical resources for lawyers interested in air-related issues, and provides information to its members through the programs it presents and its contributions to the various ABA publications. The Air Quality Committee assists its members with keeping up to date on new developments; exchanging ideas and Best Practices with other practitioners around the country; and maintaining involvement with the environmental lawyer community by contributing to various ABA SEER publications and participating in SEER events. The Air Quality Committee also has one of the largest sections in the Year in Review, which covers new laws, regulations and recent cases affecting air quality, and publishes a quarterly newsletter with articles and items of interest.
Mrs. Uhland stated, "I look forward to serving the committee in this capacity. This honor represents one more example of Hopping Green & Sams' commitment and leadership in the practice of law." Angela Morrison Uhland, a shareholder in Hopping Green & Sams, concentrates her environmental practice in the areas of air quality, wetlands, and mitigation banks.
