Marco Island Presentations

At the 25th Annual Permitting Summer School in Marco Island, David Powell moderated a panel of eight growth management experts on Florida’s landmark new growth management law.  The session, “Reinventing Florida’s Growth Management Process“, focused on nine key issues addressed by the new law.   As part of that session, David led the discussion on changes to Florida’s innovative sector planning law for large land-holdings, a portion of the legislation on which he worked closely on behalf of the Firm’s clients.  David also was chosen to moderate the session, “Large-Scale Planning with Sector Plans and Hybrids”, about the new sector planning law.  The panel explained details of the new sector planning law and discussed lessons learned from recent large-area plans.
