Appellate Practice
We are known for our representation of clients on issues at the forefront of law and public policy. In some instances, that representation requires us to appeal decisions of administrative agencies or lower courts to federal or state appellate courts. Usually, firm lawyers who have been involved in a matter continue that representation in any appeal, since they have developed familiarity with the particular case. However, HGS also includes among its members many attorneys who have special skills and unique qualifications to handle appellate issues.
Since 1979, our lawyers have represented clients in appeals to federal Circuit Courts of Appeal, the Florida Supreme Court, and Florida District Courts of Appeal. With our experience in appellate matters and familiarity dealing with cutting edge legal issues, which are often subject to appellate court consideration, we provide a well qualified, creative, and unique perspective on appellate matters on behalf of our clients.
