Litigation

jeffersonLitigation, both administrative and civil, is a substantial part of our practice. We work with many leaders of Florida's development, industrial, and commercial communities to address complex legal issues on a daily basis. When solutions are not achievable through informal negotiation, litigation becomes one avenue through which we can achieve the necessary result.

Our clients’ complex cases routinely require the presentation of expert testimony in a variety of technical areas. Our lawyers are experienced in working with expert witnesses on complex scientific and technical subjects.

Virtually all of our lawyers are involved in administrative litigation in their respective primary areas of environmental, land use, or administrative law practice.  Several lawyers devote the majority of their practice to civil litigation in both state and federal courts and administrative litigation at the Florida Division of Administrative Hearings.

Our civil litigation experience, in both state and federal courts for plaintiffs and defendants, has focused on toxic torts, contaminated property litigation, constitutional issues (i.e., civil rights), land use litigation (i.e., inverse condemnation, Bert Harris Act claims, nuisance, etc.), commercial litigation, and contract actions.
